    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time Electrician.  The Electrician is responsible to the HVAC/R Supervisor to perform a variety of functions, including installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, and equipment.

    High school graduate with specialized training in residential and commercial wiring, motor control, and related items either during or after high school, or through vocational technical school.  Knowledge of appropriate hand tools and basic wiring practices.  Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.  Ability to read blue prints is necessary.  Minimum of three years' experience in the electrical trade is preferred.  Off shift call in when needed possible.

  • Financial Aid Counselor- Reviewing Applications

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time Financial Aid Counselor in the Office of Financial Aid.  The position is directly responsible to the Director of Financial Aid to: Counsel families on financial aid application process while providing honest information about Saint Francis University with an emphasis on the value and importance  of a liberal arts education.  Process financial aid applications with sensitivity to the diverse student populations' needs and attention to special needs of undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, and international students as well as students in the various minority groups represented on campus. Manage student federal and campus-based employment program and oversee the work-study students within the Financial Aid Office.  Develop financial aid debt management program and materials for undergraduate and graduate students.  Package all graduate students with special emphasis on Master populations as well as Division of Professional Studies student populations.  Complete and manage consortium agreements for both Master and Undergraduate populations.

    Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, finance, education, computer science or related field with 1-3 years of experience in a professional setting required.  Progressive experience in financial aid/higher education setting preferred.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Extensive experience and knowledge with the following software: PowerFAIDS, COD, ELM Resources, FISAP, WS FTP, SQL, Jenzabar, PowerBuilder, and Microsoft software products; Experience with PHEAA Needs Analysis.

  • Assistant Golf Professional- Reviewing Applications

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time position of Assistant Golf Professional at Immergrun Golf Course.  The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible to the Director of Immergrun Operations to provide technical and managerial supervision of facilities and staff as needed.  Assists in the promotion of golfing activities by organizing and running clubs, tournaments, and leagues.  Oversees all aspects in the running of the golf course proshop.

    High School Graduate or equivalent with at least two years' experience working in a golf shop under a class "A" Professional.  PGA Apprentice preferred but not required.  College/University course work in recreation, physical education, business management, finance, or accounting may be substituted for up to six months experience working in a golf shop.  Excellent communication, problem solving skills, and the ability to work with other people, both internally (departments and students) and externally with alumni is essential.  Excellent computer skills including Microsoft products.  Accurate data entry skills and a commitment to customer service are required.  Ability to work extended hours during golf and holiday seasons.

    • Once hired, completion of a Graduate Assistant contract through Academic Affairs- terms to be determined between the sponsoring department and the Graduate Assistant.  If hired in an athletic coaching position another contract is issued from Human Resources.

    Tuition Remission:

    • Graduate assistants are eligible for full tuition remission for up to 9 credits per semester.  Summer varies according to each department.  Positions as a coach within Athletics may offer a stipend in addition to tuition remission

  • Associate EAP Specialist- Non-SFU Position

    UPMC's Health Plan and Workpartners are hiring an Associate EAP Specialist for it's LifeSolutions Clinical Services team.

    This Non-SFU position will be located at Saint Francis University (117 Evergreen Drive, Loretto, PA) with the following hours: Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 9am-4pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-6pm, and Friday 8am-3pm.

    Under the direction of LS Clinical Director and/or the Medical Director, the Associate EAP Specialist is responsible for providing the clinical services for the Employee Assistance Program, which provides confidential counseling and guidance to employees, household members, students of various contracted organizations and telemedicine clients who are experiencing personal, mental health and/or job-related problems.  The Associate EAP Specialist will provide short term, focused clinical interventions for clients utilizing telemedicine platform under the supervision of the Medical and Clinical Director. The Associate EAP Specialist will establish collaborative relationships with clients, physicians, health care providers, and employers to achieve desired outcomes.  The Associate EAP Specialist will consult with supervisory and management personnel in handling staff member performance problems and in determining appropriate actions.  The Associate EAP Specialist will develop and present trainings to employer groups as requested.  The Associate EAP Specialist will be a conduit to a myriad of resources, including Health Coaching, awareness of website resources, and community and provider resources. 

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Social Work, Counselor Education, Counseling and Guidance, Psychology, or related behavioral sciences.
    • Must follow licensing criteria for supervision and be eligible for and actively pursuing licensure.
    • Proof of application for Licensure is required.
    • Two years of previous work experience in general counseling including experience in drug/alcohol counseling, preferred.
    • Must be familiar with the development and implementation of brief counseling and solution focused treatment plans, group process, career guidance and planning and systemic change.
    • Must be able to establish a climate of trust and communicate effectively with a broad range of employees, managers and administrators from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds and levels of responsibility.
    • Must be familiar with crisis intervention, referral techniques, and effective means of accessing community resources.
    • Must be able to make successful referrals for needed assistance beyond EAP.
    • Must have good written and oral communication.
    • Experience in employee assistance programs, administrative duties, case management, and clinical service delivery is preferred.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    Must follow licensing criteria for clinical and be eligible for licensure and actively be pursing licensure.  Proof of application for licensure is required.  Associate EAP Specialist must be able to apply for licensure in their field of study within 2 years of hire.

    Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Broadcasting, Communication, TV Production, Journalism, or related field.  Previous experience is preferred in operating a camera under various conditions, operating a camera in a live event environment, digital video editing, Adobe Suite and other editing applications, and a basic knowledge of sport production.  In addition, preferred experience with: collegiate athletic communications, Adobe Creative Suite (MAC), Stat Crew, NCAA Genius Live Stats, web streaming/video equipment, Daktronics Display (LED scorer's table/message center), and graphic/production design.  Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.

    Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time, 12-month position of Aviation Maintenance Technician Lead Instructor in the Aviation Maintenance Technician School in the Division of Professional Studies.  The Aviation Maintenance Technician Lead Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students pursuing careers in aircraft maintenance.  The role requires a deep understanding of aviation maintenance practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in the field.

    Successful candidates will meet, at a minimum, the following qualifications: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required. Several years of experience working as an Aviation Maintenance Technician.  Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.  Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to problem solve and think critically.  Experience with aircraft and technology used in the field.  Willingness to work in a dynamic and evolving educational environment.  Strong commitment to safety and compliance.  Preferred qualifications include previous teaching or instructional experience in an Aviation Maintenance program. Additional aviation-related certifications and endorsements a plus.
